Budapest March 2007
Another short long weekend break to Budapest. Amazing churches, buildings, castles, etc.

Barge travelling down the river Danube. Royal Palace visible on the right Kept this shot because it reminded me of my inability to vote in Switzerland There were a few buildings like this - they would have looked amazing in their day, but now live in a state of general decay Train leading up to the Royal Palace View from the train across to the chain bridge View from the Royal Palace - Houses of Parliament in the distance Hungarian National Gallery Covered courtyard inside the Budapest History Museum Inside the Buda Castle Labyrinth Inside the Buda Castle Labyrinth Inside the Buda Castle Labyrinth - extra items have been added to make it interesting for the children. This happened in the very late stages of the war, even as the Allies were closing in.
